Where can I find Success Services?

Answer

Success Services is an "umbrella" title for various academic services, support, and programs housed in the Pilgrim Library that encompasses:

  • Library & Informational Resources and Spaces
  • Academic Support Center (for peer tutoring, supplemental instruction, and targeted support for STEM courses)
  • Writing Studio (for undergraduate writing assistance)
  • FYE 100 program (includes coordination of the the first-year course, annual Common Read program, and First-Year Peer Leader program)
  • Study Skill Help (providing academic coaching and a schedule of academic success workshops during fall and spring semesters)
  • Structured Study Program (the coordinated study table program in the Pilgrim Library)
  • DC F1RST (first-generation mentoring program using the Habits of Mind as a framework for support)
  • DC  PASS (Pathways for Academic Student Success - program to support conditionally admitted students)
  • Other Retention Initiatives under Academic Affairs (such as the Early Alert System - Success @DC, Four-week reports, and Midterm Intervention Team)
