Q. How do I upload a digital voice recording of lecture?

There are several ways to successfully get audio or video onto Moodle.
The first is a bit restrictive.  If your audio/video's file size is at or below 128mb, you can upload the video as a file, just like you would with a document or PowerPoint. (This can also be done by adding a "Page" resource within a topic or week.)
The next two require uploading the video or audio content to YouTube, TeacherTube, or SchoolTube.
Click "add activity or resource." Using the URL resource, paste the link to your video into the space provided.  The link will show in on your course page, but the video will not until clicked.
The final, is to use the "label" resource.  Click "add an activity or resource," then select the "Label" resource. Click on the "show editing tools" tab and then the "HTML" button.  In YouTube, for example, click on "embed" below the video and copy the HTML code.  Paste it into the text box back in Moodle, and click save.  A window/thumbnail of the video will show on your course page in a video player.
