Q. How do I send an email to my class(es)?
If you are an instructor at Defiance College, there are a few ways for you to get in touch with your class.
- OneStop - You should see an option that says "Send an Email to Your Classes or Advisees" in your OneStop menu. Click on this option and place a check mark next to the class or classes you wish to contact. If you wish to receive a copy of the email, be sure to check the box next to "Yourself" in the Recipient section. Give the email a subject header and compose your message. Attach any files and click Submit to send the message.
- Moodle - You can use the News Forum to contact all participants in a class. Simply click on News Forum, Add a New Topic, and then compose your message. Students are by default subscriped to the News Forum and should receive email copies of whatever you post there; they will not receive the email only if they have changed their messaging settings, and even then it will be posted as news to your Moodle page. Remember that the News Forum is a bit deceptive because it does not allow discussion as other Moodle forums do; it is just for you to post announcements.
