To schedule a face-to-face writing consultation, students complete an online form at  Once the form is submitted the Learning Commons will send a confirmation email.  For the convienence of students, the appointment calendar can be found below the scheduling form.  Students can double-check the calendar to see if a day and time they wish to schedule is already booked.  Do not assume your appointment is set until you have received a confirmation email from the Learning Commons. If a student is having difficulty scheduling an appointment they can call the Writing & Reading Studio in the Learning Commons at 419-783-2389.  Students can also simply stop by the Writing & Reading Studio in the Learning Commons at room 217 in the Pilgrim Library and have the graduate assistant or a consultant help them sign-up for an appointment.

If you make an appointment, please be considerate and keep the consultation.  If you need to reschedule, contact the Learning Commons as soon as possible.

Do not assume you can just walk in and always get assistance.  Making an appointment ahead of time is your best guarantee that you will have a consultant available to help.

Another type of writing consultation is now available, Online Asynchronous Writing Consultations, These do not requrie an appointment, but instead require you to upload or create a draft  in Google Drive and then share that document you drafted with the Google group, Writing Help ( You will get feedback on your draft online within in 48 hours.  For more information on Online Asynchronous Writing Consultations, check out the link below.
